The highly anticipated trailer for *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, was unveiled at a grand event in Patna on November 17, 2024. The trailer launch attracted over 10,000 fans to Gandhi Maidan, resulting in chaotic scenes as eager attendees attempted to get closer to the stars. Police intervened with a mild lathi charge to manage the crowd, which had begun to climb barricades and structures in excitement.
The trailer showcases the intense action and drama expected in the sequel directed by Sukumar, following the success of *Pushpa: The Rise*. Allu Arjun reprises his role as the titular smuggler, with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil also returning. The film is set to release in theaters on December 5, 2024, and has already generated significant buzz, amassing over 10 million views across various platforms shortly after its release.
Despite the chaos at the launch event, local officials assured that security measures were adequate. “Only a group of people who had come to watch the event and tried to cross the barricade were removed,” stated Rajeev Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Patna. He emphasized that the situation was under control and that adequate security personnel were present.
*Pushpa 2: The Rule* is produced on a reported budget of ₹300 crore, positioning it as one of the biggest Indian films in recent times. The excitement surrounding this sequel reflects the strong fanbase that Allu Arjun has cultivated through his previous works and his reputation as one of Telugu cinema’s leading stars.
